I had a brainstem hemorrhage at age 36 in 1996. I haven't been able to drive, or work outside my home since. Lots of physical, emotional, and cognative BS to put up with.

I'm 47, and peri-menopausal.I'm either a raving lunatic or teary-eyed 3 weeks out of a month. Isn't this fun?
Open Eating Disorders
Type: BulimiaI have been bulimic on and off for over 20 years. I have learned, and am sometimes successful, to either go online and find a chat room, or call a friend, when I want to purge. I also try and stay away from trigger foods, but I'm not always successful.

- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I was part of a research study regarding ED's. I had weekly psychotherapy, and behavior modification, and also was on desipramine.
Open Migraine Headaches
I've always had h/a, althogh since my stroke in 1996, I've been plagued with migraines.
Treatments
- Amerge Somewhat Helpful
- Very expensive, didn't always work.
- Aspirin Somewhat Helpful
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Tried this for over a year; sometimes it worked well.
- Axert Somewhat Helpful
- Same as Amerge, expensive and didn't always do the trick.
- Caffeine Somewhat Helpful
- Excedrin Somewhat Helpful
- Another OTC med that is just a combo of aspirin, acetominephen and caffeine.
- Fioricet Somewhat Helpful
- Fiorinol Somewhat Helpful
- Magnesium Not Working
- This gave me diarrhea. I stopped taking it after I just couldn't find a correct dose for me.
- Topamax Not Working
- This GAVE me a low-grade h/a
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionDepressed following a stroke in 1996. At the time of diagnosis it was clinical; meds seem to have helped.
