My only daughter, Cassie, was killed on April 22, 2006 at the tender age of 21. She was with her older brother, boyfriend, and a friend at the friends house. They had a cook-out and they were all riding the ATV that my son and Cassie's boyfriend had. But Cassie, being bold, she decided to get on the ATV. It was her first and last time. She only wieghed 95 lbs. soaking wet, and 5ft.5in. on a huge machine. She went around the track and decided to go over the dirt ramp. The ATV and Cassie went up in the air, and as the ATV was going down, she was going over the ATV. She landed on the ground and the ATV came down and landed on her head. She was killed instantly. She had no chance to save herself. Cassie is also an Organ Donor and I am very proud of her. She has been to other states and countries now, and I am in constant contact with the Iowa Donor Network.

I miss Cassie so much, my heart aches for her every single day. She left behind one older brother and one younger brother, and 4 nieces. Cassie and I were very close. We were the best of friends and we had the best mother/daughter relationship in the world. We did everything together. I just wish this never had happened to us.
