  Thanks! I needed that hug!!!! I wasnt planning on breastfeeding, but I think I am going to have to now. I just figured that formula would be easier because of daycare and the baby going to see her father...then I wouldnt have to pump all the time. I am definatly going to look into this WIC thing, because my friend told me that because I am 26, they cant go off of my parents income, no matter what. I am hoping that things will get better...trying to keep my chin up. But thanks again for your hug and your reply!!! It meant a lot!

  Hello Amy, Thank you so much for your message. We decided not to do amnio because there would really be no point since we are deciding not to terminate no matter. I have worked with kids with downs and I loved volunteering because of how loving and sweet they were. I have really started to feel much better about my odds over the last few days. When the genetic counselor reported my odds to me the first thing that came out of her mouth was "higher risk" and that is what I focused on. My doctor brought me back to reality and said look it a less than 1% chance that is a good thing. Also, I have to keep bringing myself back to the fact that my baby may not be perfect in the way the world says perfect is but that doesn't mean that they aren't just as beautiful, as much of a blessing and perfect to me. I am trying to learn not to worry so much... I can be kind of crazy about that sometimes. Thanks again for sharing your story with me. If I have any questions about downs I will be sure to ask you.
