About Me
I am 43 years old and happily married. To the most patient man on earth. I have 2 daughters, one is 22 and was married 9-22-07 to a great guy. My youngest is 17. She has been involved in several sports to include competetive Cheerleading. The last several years she has skiied for her school and 2 years ago she went to the State Ski Meet to represent her school. I also have 2 step-children in Mississippi: Ryan is 16 1/2 and his sister Jordan is nearly 15. I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician and have been one for 5 years and I LOVE it. We have 2 dogs. Mazie is a yellow lab who is almost 4 and her sister is a black miniature poodle named Sophie who is 1 year old. PS- I am the one on the left in the purple dress.

I agree with Seedsy. You have to find the right doctor and have a positive attitude. My doctor is continuously doing research for fibro and I see her at least every other month just so we can communicate to each other how one therapy or another is or isn't working. And sometimes she calls on her own to check on me. I wish you the best and will be praying for you.

Hi form Northern Michigan... My name is Michelle. I have finally been DX'ed with Fibromyalgia after more than 8 years of searching... I have been tested for everything from allergies to MS. Just this last week (9/2008) I was offically DX'ed by my Rheumatologist. I finally know what has been wrong for so long....
Treatments
- Acupressure Working / Worked
- I use reflexology on my feet on occasion. It works
- Ambien Not Working
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- Wish I could a Hot Tub at home
- Baclofen Not Working
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- Cymbalta Somewhat Helpful
- I have not noticed a great diffeerence, but the Dr's are keeping me on it for a while to combine it with some other meds
- Effexor Not Working
- weight gain, did not help
- Elavil Not Working
- didn't help with pain or sleep I had intense craving for sweets
- Heat Working / Worked
- Helps greatly with my headaches
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- Seems to be helping I am titrating up my bedtime dose I am at 200 mg. and I feel better in the morning
- Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
- Gained 40 lbs
- Skelaxin Not Working
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- didnot help with depression or pain
- Zanaflex Not Working
- I cannot tolerate. I walk into walls, act as if I have had a stroke, I cant control ny speech
Close Hysterectomy
I am 43. I have a history of fibroids and ovarian cysts. Over the years my periods have gone from 60 days apart to 21 days. Now on day 1 I bleed thru a tampon and pad in 1 hour. I pass huge clots. Possible hysteretomy?
Open Chronic Pain
Recently DX'ed with FM, have had chronic headaches for going on 9 yrs. Was being tested for MS, but told no. I am a Phar. Tech.

- Too much can cause rebound headaches
- Lidoderm Not Working

- Lyrica Working / Worked
- titrating now up to 250 mg's at bedtime heading up to 450mg
- Meditation Somewhat Helpful
- I do not take the time
- Mobic Not Working
- did not work
- Naproxen Not Working
- did not work
- Nerve Blocks Not Working
- have had all kinds of nerve blocks and they did not take
- Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
- caused massive weight gain

- I use it now 50 mg in AM and 50 mg in PM
