I talked with my mom tonight. She said that she has been sick all night. She said that her fever has been around 102. It seems that everyday I talk to her she seems to be sicker than the day before. I asked her if she was going to go for chemo on Monday and she said that she was. I asked her if she felt like going and she said that she has to go. (She won't go to get shots to help with her immunity so I wasn't sure if she was going for the chemo) She added that she had to go for at least one more. I don't know if she is going to give up after this but I know that she will not continue is there is no relief in site. She has said she is not going to put herself through this is there is little hope.
Talked with Maria Tostado. She said that her sister has colon cancer that has gone to her liver. She said that the doctors can look at the liver and tell how long the cancer has been there. She also said that eventually mom will lose sensation in her fingers and toes as the blood isn’t able to circulate as well due to decreased liver function. Mom hasn’t complained of this yet. She continues to be very nauseous. I think this is from the cancer and not the chemo. She is going to ask the MD on Monday.
I talked with Beth. She is going with mom on Monday to the MD. I ask the MD if mom going to get better and if not, for him to tell mother so she can plan accordingly?
I also asked other questions but I can’t remember now….
