Thinking of you....
Hug
Hi Steph! That was a great picture and you're very welcome... I have to say that it scared me but then Johnny Depp made me laugh so I wasn't so afraid, lol... just something about it scared me. Maybe its just me, lol. That's great he is comprehending and everything as that can be difficult in Autism. Absolutely fabulous! I'm so grateful we are friends :) I have been having my ups and downs and today got flustered and had a mini meltdown if you could call it that and got schedule from service doggy and finally calmed down, phew :) So its turned out good in the end today. There is a sensory-friendly movie out (just for Autistic people)... Its on tomorrow in my area and we might go to it - its the first one! It has the listing on ASA's site so check it out! I hope you are feeling well and how are you and Robby? Well I hope. Both of you and your family have a blessed week as well :) Hugs and luv, Kris

Support Groups
Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
Our son was diagnosed at age 3. He is currently in a special needs class at school, and doing well. At this time, we are dealing with some frustration and anger issues, and I'm hoping to find some answers for this problem.
Treatments
- Behavior Management Working / Worked
- Robbie responds well to behavior modification. It's been a lifesaver time and time again!!
- Crying Somewhat Helpful
- Like most ASD parents, when the frustration gets to be too much, crying is all I can do to release it.
- Early Intervention Somewhat Helpful
- Robbie has been in typical classes up until this school year.He is in a special needs class now, and seems to be doing well.
- Occupational Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Patience Working / Worked
- There are days when it doesn't work and days when it works great.
- Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked
- Robbie started with picture schedules, but is now able to read, so we use word schedules for him.
- Prayer Working / Worked
- I pray daily for patience, hope and tolerance of others that don't understand autism and that they learn as much as possible to be sensitive to people with special needs.
Close Caregivers
I am a mother of a child with autism, and do private care for the elderly.
Treatments
- Prayer Working / Worked
- This is the best way for me to regroup and focus on caring for my son and my ladies and gentlemen.
- Physical Exercise Too Soon to Tell
- I just joined the gym and so far so good.
