Well, I have really been sticking to my diet. I am so happy with myself. After 4 days of really struggling to not graze, not overeat, and drink enough it was much easier today. I think once we fall off the wagon it takes a real commitment like that to get back on track. Today and yesterday both were pretty easy. I've been to the gym four times this week, but won't be able to go tomorrow because my daughter has a x country meet. I'll get my cardiac work out then.
There are a couple of occurances that have happened since i've had my surgery. I am wearing a size 10 jean, my older sister was very complimentary on the way I looked in my jeans, and when i was shopping for shoes the other day i tried on some boots that go 3/4 's of the way up my leg and they zipped. My calves have gotten small enough to wear all those cute boots that zip. Never been able to wear them before because my legs were too fat to get them zipped. One of those silly things I've always wanted but never able to do because of my weight.

Just check my BMI. I am no longer obese, i am simply over weight. How weird to be excited about being over weight. When I started this journey my BMI was 44.6, it is now 29. I was curious about what it would be as I lost weight.
170 = 28.3
160 = 26.6
150 = 25 (the bottom of the scale for overweight)
149 = 28.3 (get here I'm no longer overweight)
140 = 23.3
Gives me some goals to work toward. It would be so exciting to no longer be overweight.

Didn't make it by my birthday, but I finally made it there. I have gotten really serious about losing weight again. I'm going a little bit of a different route to get myself started again. I am trying to get more protein and less calories so I have been eating a good breakfast and supper, while having a bottle of Isopure (40 g. of protein per bottle) during the day. I would say I'm getting closer to 80 grams of protein and around 600 calories, as opposed to 50-60 grams of protein and well over 1000 calories. I am usually not hungry during the day anyway. I figure that as long as I am getting my protein in it doesn't matter if it is liquid or solid. It has really been working for right now. I'm going to try and keep this up for another week or so if I can. I have also gone to the gym more. I feel better and am sure that it is aiding in my weight loss. I can't believe I'm almost in the 160's. Guess that's my next goal. Small goals, lead to bigger ones.
Went to my vestibular therapist (the guy trying to help me with my dizziness) and he thinks I may have something different wrong than Meniere's disease. He thinks I may have something pinching off a vein in my neck when I move my head certain ways. He said that would explain the dizziness this weekend, and seeing the black spots when I get that dizzy feeling. He is going to call my ENT with this info and then I will hopefully go to a different kind of therapist to see if they can help me. Thank goodness for good insurance. This worries me a bit though because of all of the heart problems in my family. My dad has an issue with plaque building up on the walls of his arteries even though his cholesterol is within normal limits. My cholesterol has always been normal but some docs think the plaque building up thing is genetic. Don't know if I should contact my GP now or wait until I see this other therapist.

Thanks Kim! Still doesn't seem possible that I'm wearing a 10. When I hold them up they look so small.
