I am a happily married women. Now 30 as of Feb 2! My life is great!I have a perfect husband, and a great (and big) family with all the support and love you could ever need. I have fabulous friends too! My parents had 7 of us kids, and Im grateful for all them! My mom has Parkinsons and my dear dad was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in Nov 06. They are the strongest two people I know. they are my heros!

Close Mesothelioma
My dad was diagnosed in Nov. 06 after months of him being so sick, and us not knowing what was wrong. The diagnosis was a terrible thing to find out, but my brother Don is a ER Doc, and lucky for us he got to break the news. Its was easier to hear it from him. They gave him 6 months, and its now been 11! Hes not going anywhere soon! He did a little chemo, but it was too hard on him, and to only hear there was a 30% chance of it doing any good. So he is just on a morphine pack and loving life!!
Treatments
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Morphine pack is working wonders! he gets little pains here or there..but overall hes doing AWESOME! he is able to live pain free and happy!
Close Parkinson's Disease
My dearest mother was diagnosed years ago with Parkinsons disease..but let me tell you..this doesnt slow her down a bit! She is the rock of the family!...sometimes her feet wont let her go where she wants to go, but she will get there soon enough. She has such a positive attitude..and a sense of humor that never quits. She is so fun to be around and she is my Angel!
Treatments
- Mirapex Working / Worked
- yeah, its working for her...sometimes she has a hard time with her shuffling, and I worry she will fall..but she doesnt! Depending on the time of day she takes it, it can make her really sleepy! but overall its been working well.
- Sinemet Working / Worked
- same thing as Mirapex...she has to sometimes play with the dosage, but it seems to work...she has her good days, then her not so good days..
