I want to write down all these things going on in my head right now about my sailing lesson, I had the best time and it's true. When you are aligned with the universe of being on the right track, you will want to do it all day long, time flys and you never want to quit! That has been my experience over the weekend with my sailing lesson up in Seattle on the lake. I took my first lesson at the Center for wooden boats and it was truely a blast. The type of boat was awesome, I think it was 20', perfect for a little family day sail on the lake. I can bring my kids sometime which I think would be so cool for all of us. The instructor was really good and I got a lot out of it. Sailing before with a couple of boats really helped me know kind of what to do but the instructor cleared a lot of things up for me. I learned some new terms and did a lot of the sailing myself while he told me what to do. I steered most of the time and then worked the sails when he steered. I understand that you can do it yourself alone and that's what I'm working towards. My instructor said I have good control and that I did a great job for a first time. Can't wait until my next lesson.

2 hours went by lightening fast and before I knew it, it was over. I wanted to share this with someone and was pissed and sad at the same time that I couldn't. I did talk to my cousin on my way home and shared my joy with her. I am going to get my kids involved if I can. Maybe next year I can invest in something small like the boat I learned on so we can do it as often as we want. I've got to get as many hours sailing as I can and then I want to get on a crew that sails the San Juan islands for a long weekend. That is my dream. As long as I keep moving in this direction, I'll do that. What fun it was and I wish I was there doing it today. It is such a fun and peaceful experience but I think that the island sailing will be even more of a religeous experience. Especially if I see whales and other great sea creatures. Work seems very boring today but at least I have an adventurous life outside of work. I've got to keep doing more stuff like that. It fulfilled me.
