Type: Loss of a ParentI am a 43-year-old attorney, wife and mother of two. Until she passed away on Dec. 29, 2006, I also was the primary caregiver for my 83-year-old mother, who lived with me for the past 12 years. I miss her more than I ever thought possible.
Treatments
- Crying Working / Worked
- Grief Counseling Considering
- Not many resources in my area, but may try a local support group.
- Prayer Working / Worked
- Writing Working / Worked
- All of my journal entries are in the form of letters to my mother. Somehow writing everything out in longhand (computer entries not the same) is incredibly therapeutic.
Close Parenting 'Tweens (9-12)
As of later this month, I will officially have both kids in this age group - boy, 9, and girl, almost 12. Scary!
