The girls are doing great today.They have both gained some weight and they are keeping most of their food down. They put a pik (sp) line in Ella today. When they did Maddie's the other day I was upset, but it went so well that when they did Ella's today I wasn't so nervous. It is better for them in the long run because they won't have to get stuck every other day to move their iv. They will have to get a brain xray either tomorrow or Saturday. It is all routine and it should go well. They are just checking to make sure there is no bleeding in the brain. I am getting a little bit more comfortable with them being in the nicu. But I still cry every night leaving them. It was a little difficult going through their baby things today and putting them away. I just kept thinking I can't wait till they are home to wear this or play with that. I know the time is getting a little closer everyday that I will get to enjoy that.

Before you know it they will be home, you need to look after yourself now get lot's of rest and heal from you c-section , I am happy they are doing so well.

I know its hard but try to rest when you can. And don't worry about the baby clothes, they won't be able to fit in them for a while yet anyway, but you will be amazed at how fast they grow. I am so glad to hear they are doing well. Are you able to hold them and have kangaroo time with them in the NICU? I really think that helped my girls do well and come home fast (13 days instead of a month and a half).
