TODAY IS A BAD PAIN DAY. I HATE TAKING MEDS DURING THE DAY. I'VE GOT MY SICK 5 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WTIH ME TODAY. …
Feeling a little better today. Just extremely drowsy. Well, not so much now, but earlier at work I was and then came home and took a 4 hour nap. Now I'm supposed to go to bed, but just my luck, this is the time of day (or night rather) I find myself having more energy. Does anyone here have any suggestions at all for combatting this drowsiness I feel from the zoloft? I've been on it almost 2 months now. I know drowsiness is a side effect, but will it ever go away? It is normal for it to last this long??
Btw, feeling better about the little spat between my sweetie and me. We'll be okay. We just have misunderstandings at times. He thinks I don't listen to him, I think he doesn't listen to me, etc. etc. It's not unusual for us to have these frustrations and disagreements wtih each other and we get over it, but it often leaves me very upset and in tears afterwards.

Well, I certainly apologize to my friends here at DailyStrength for not checking in with them in awhile. My new …
Glad you're feeling better on the relationship front. Maybe you need to try a different med than zoloft. My friend at work has been on paxil for many years and likes it. Says it doesn't make her drowsy.

Im really not sure about the drowziness - this is part of the reason I myself stopped (well sort of) taking my paxil. Are you taking a high dose? Maybe lowering it would help, I mean I find doctors to be useless with these types of issues - as long as it helps with the anxiety they could care less about treating the other problems like mood swings, drowziness, lack of energy etc. I wonder if the drowziness is just one of the things you need to accept when taking meds. Anyways today I was reading about omega-3s and anxiety and im really going to give it a try - I bought some supplements today and maybe there is something to this. I dont like the fact that the pills are so big and that I need to take 3 daily but its worth a shot. At least these dont make me drowzy so ill let you know in a month of taking them how I feel. Ill probably continue taking random doses of paxil too though to stop the light headed feelings I get. Its good to hear you sorted things out with your man - that can just make your relationship stronger and shows you really do care for each other. Everyone has disagreements, everyone can communicate better with their significant other but its really important to overcome that, you'll never completely agree with someone else. I hope you continue feeling better - you really do deserve that - your an amazing person who really cares for others and you have a big heart. I hate it when the nicest people in this world are often the ones with problems in their lives that are not easy to overcome on their own. Im always here if you need me, and im always here supporting you - seeing you happy does lift my spirits and gives me hope that my depression and struggles may not last forever. Im hoping that one day we can both put these problems behind us, be happy with ourselves, be happy with life and enjoy everything - I know one day that will happen. just hang in there and if you ever need to talk you know where to find me. (((((Big hugs for you)))))
