I just wanted to let you all know I am ok. I am having health issues...but I really am also ok. I finally got aproved for that pain patch, Fentanyl and between it and my hydrocodone, I am very comfortable painwise. In fact the best I have been in months. However, unfortunately...I am also very sleepy/tired with it. But, with the relief from the pain of three broken ribs... well its a trade well worth it! So, hopefully as I acclimate to the new combination, I will return to my old semi-energetic self. (LOL) LOve to All....JoAnn

Oh angel im so happy you got the pain meds...it sorta sucks that it wipes you out..but hey at least it'll give you a chance to get back on track with the pain from the broken ribs that must be horrible...keep safe...remember your stronger than all this...and hey your humor is still there....

Jo Ann thank you for keeping us up to date with whats happening it keep looking in and have seen you write for a while, so pleased you now have.
Good to hear they are sorting out the pain releif for you and you feeling better that way must be such a comfort.

I was so glad to see you posting again, I was beginning to get very worried when you disappeared for a week.

That Fentanyl is an extremely powerful opiate and very controlled, 80 times more powerful than morphine. It will knock you out for sure but the doctors wouldn't have you on it if you didn't need it. It will also depress your respiratory system. You also may have to go through withdrawals to get off of it when your ready but the doctors will know what to do about that if they have to. I've worked with client's that had to use methadone to help them come off of their prescription opiates.

In the meantime you're doing what you are suppose to do and that is 'following your doctor's orders. I'm so glad you are feeling better and doing better. I just hope you get better real soon.
