I know this is weird, but it will have been the highlight of my day. I walk my daughter to and from school everyday. I see it as my way of getting 20 minutes of exercise everyday ;) Anywho, this morning she was kind of grumpy. It's rainy, windy and just a bleh day where you want to stay inside. I wanted to go back to bed myself so I couldn't really blame her. I didn't want her to be grumpy at school because then she'd end up not having a good day at all. Usually on our walks we count slugs or some such thing (we walk by a little creek). This morning... we couldn't touch the puddles because they were contaminated. The rocks by the sidewalk were hot lava, the sand quick sand that sucks you down and crushes you, the bushes were spider infested swamps, and the trees homes for rabid monkeys. We still counted slugs, but there was only 1. Lets just say that by the time I left her at school, she was giggling and thinking Mommy is a dork, lol. My walk home through the windy rainy ickiness was more cheerful and quicker than normal. I actually feel motivated to do stuff today. Kind of amazing what kind of impact you can have on people and vice versa.
This is a great way to look at life. Very good job mom.
