The last few days have been challenging ... not so much because of physical ailment. Trying to navigate the maze of directives to see specialists. "It is your responsibility to get referrals", "it is your responsibility to blah blah blah..." I never went to school to study billing and insurance. I'm just the patient trying to get medical help. Can't get an appointment because we never got the referral. Yet in checking back at the primary doctor's office I was shown the fax indicating "OK" it was sent and recorded as received . Nobody does their job anymore. I am just working with the flow. After all the challenges, I have finally got the referrals to the two specialists that I really need to deal with this carcinoid. So I feel good. Mission accomplished!!

In the meantime, I will keep going to Gilda's club. It provides emotional stability and some fun as well as education .
