I am calling the doctors office at 8 AM this morning to get an appointment today. I want some answers. I want to know if the blood teat for carcinoid has been done, etc.
For more than a year I have been having symptoms of poor endurance, rapid heartbeat and heart murmur. All workups found no problem. My legs started swelling all the way up to my abdomen. I have liquid diarrhea for one year now. I have lost 29 lbs overall. My skin is emaciated. Recent CT scan suggested ovarian ca with metastasis to liver. Biopsy ruled that out and confirmed carcinoid syndrome. I was just given that diagnosis on Monday and was hospitalized until Thursday doing testing.
