Alone in the corner sits a little girl
Waiting for daddy to show
Why is he late again?
Is it because of the snow?
She stares out the window
Everything's so white and clean
Where oh where could daddy be?
It's getting late mommy says
Let's get ready to go to bed
Slowly she rises out of her chair
To brush her teeth and comb her hair
Mommy finally tucks her in bed
And gives her a kiss on top her head
The day is now over, daddy didn't show
Maybe tomorrow he'll actually come home.
