It's been a tough week across the globe. Share your thoughts in our new 2008 Financial Crisis support group.

I also posted this as a discussion but could use some insight:

Hi Everyone, I have a question. I will be 34 weeks on Tuesday....I have been having these shooting pains in the pit of my pelvis. I called the nurse about it over 2 weeks ago and the nurse who called back said it probably was just the baby on my nerve or something. But at my doc appt she said probably NOT a nerve and wasn't sure what it was. It lasted for about two days and then pretty much went away. Well, now it's back again yesterday & today...it's to the point that I can only bend over so far--for instance, I swept my floors today and couldn't bend down to use the dustpan...in the shower yesterday, I could only lift my legs to shave if I had them more out/spread when I was bending and bringing them up. Today it hurt to even sort of press on my pubic area that it's that sensitive. It's a sort of shooting pain in the pit of my stomach--hurts to sit on the toilet and it's a weird feeling almost like I have to go to the bathroom, but even if I try to push to go #1 or #2, it send an even bigger shooting pain (sorry if this is TMI). I am calling the doc this week about it but thought I'd ask if anyone knows what the heck is going on. I'm not soooooooo big that bending over or whatever should be this difficult. I have been exercising and walking and stuff, but now it's like my whole pelvis has this shooting type nerve pain.

Is this pre-term labor signs? I am not contracting I don't think when this happens. Any insisght is much appreciated.

I think I remember my friend mentioning that as she got closer to her due date. I will ask her about it tomorrow and let you know what they said it was. She was having pre-term labor signs but delivered a week late. Definitely let your doctor know though. Always better to be safe and that is what they are there for.

sounds like your little one is just giving you a hard time :) It gets REALLY uncomfortable at the end and they are running out of space, so they hit every nerve, organ, and muscle in sight! I hope this is all it is, but keep us updated!!

Totaly normal, I had pelvic pain for weeks, but it goes away right after you have the baby! Its just the baby getting into position and your pelvis starting to spread out. I was in a lot of pain too, so I understand!
