About Me
I have Usher's Syndrome: Retinitis Pigmentosa (rp) combined with a hearing loss, and have between 4-6 degrees of vision. I had to stop driving in 1999. I was a single mom until 2003 and have a 12 year old son with Asperger's (form of Autisim). My husband and I just welcomed a baby daughter in October of 2006. I love to create, and work from home as a web and print designer. I love to cook, read and spend time with my family. My great struggle is wrestling with being a "disabled person".

Open Asperger Syndrome
I am the mom of a 12 year old son with Asperger's. He is now in a special ed program for kids like him.
Treatments
- Paxil Not Working
- Meds made him gain weight and prone to massive temper tantrums. We stopped over 3 years ago.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Very helpful, but way too slow and expensive.
Open Hypothyroidism
