I am a nurse that recently had a total thyroidectomy and diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I have a daughter who will be 2 in November.
Interests
I love to listen to music and to read. I love anything related to my daughter. I play computer games with my husband. I used to sing in a gospel group prior to my surgery...hoping to be able to do that again!

Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaI had a fullness in my throat and had previously been diagnosed with goiter and Hashimotos disease. Whe I had difficulty swallowing, my MD recommended thyroidectomy. They found my cancer when they did the pathology.
Treatments
- Synthroid Not Working
- I had hypocalcemia after my surgery and have been dealing with numbness and tingling and muscle cramping. I can't get my TSH regulated and am really having an awful time!
Close Depression
I was diagnosed with depression in 1997. I tend to get anxiety symptoms also.
