ALABAMA GULF COAST ZOO and lightening storm big time Mood

ALAbama gulf coast zoo, i never heard of it. says it is featured on animal planet so i will take a look. most of the drama is over i think, except that i got caught in that storm...a tropical depression last night. we were at the marina and it didn't FEEL right, like you could FEEL the electricity in the air. soooo weird. all of the hair on my body was standing up and i was like, holy shit! i've heard of stuff like that having lived here on and off all of my life, but never went through it that i recall. we left. high tailed it back here and locked the door (like the lock will stop the lightening. lol.) within minutes of returning it started pouring and even as we ran, the lightening was already coming down and i mean AROUND US. lightening can travel along the ground soooo. then i found out later it is also attracted to power sources so i should have shut the lights as well and i didn't, in fact i think i went on line....so much for me. it was scary though. IT WAS A TROPICAL DEPRESSION and we got pelted. the lightening being everywhere is what scared me the most and since the marina is water and the boathouse is right there too....we have a lightening rod but still....what a weird night.

i was supposed to go to my friends house and i cancelled assuming it would be just as bad there. i was afraid to drive through it all, then i get further south and there is NOTHING!!!! NO RAIN, NADA. LOL. its raining again today though. i don't remember summers being like this growing up down here i keep wanting to see the news from miami and see what is REALLY happening. to me, miami will always be reality and everything else is just a long visit. that's how it feels so far anyway...though when i am in europe it feels like i never lived in usa at all because i end up remembering all these things from there. lol.

went to sleep for a while and the cleaning guy brought us a putty knife and did the lawn. still think he took the box and the coffee machine. nathan called and he needs to move sooner and wants to know if he is in or not. kv broke the blender, wish he had waited to put his tires in the carport until after it was cleared out. realized tni threw out a lot of the bags i packed because he was so wasted he assumed it was garbage when in fact everything was packed in bags and boxes WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT all the refridgerator stuff, even some food that we can't find, animal things as well. couldn't he go into the garbage and GET IT BACK OUT THE FUCKING IDIOT. i hate heavy partiers. his answer is that is why he is divorced, he's a fuck up, that's not an answer. everyone is a fuck up when they are wasted get real. plus if its not your's don't touch it. so that's what he did with his exwife. anything she'd put in a bag he'd throw in the garbage, i would strangle the guy.

i was going to leave g's stuff at tni's work, but now i won't, i'm too mad about the missing stuff. g invited him and he was nothing but a nuisance more loss than gain. what a jerk. i heard his little son is even worse. i'm not saying he does it on purpose, but whether it is planned or not doesn't matter if the result is the same. get some control over your habits and your faculties. he should try the military. it teaches excellent habits. i'm serious.

so though the tropical depression is out at sea, it is very boring today as it is raining. its a good day to sleep. every day it seems to be sunny in the morning and raining in the late afternoon. also really nice to not have to hire a landscaper, its already done. the blessings are there i am sure, but i don't want to count them too much since the animals are not, and perhaps cannot be. everyone keeps requesting the same thing the sanctuary....and now that i miss them all tremendously maybe one will just happen quicker who knows. also the siamese himalayan at k's is doing the pissing thing again, so i need to get funds together to have him checked out. he is so beautiful, its a shame. i haven't seen the new siameses yet except the one that k has and that one is so shy that it will end up going as a regular rescue. wonder why she is like that. she is a lynx point. also tm says that his one and only rescue is pregnant. his girlfriend let her out and he claims after that she got out again, out the screen. i wrote this a long time ago and i told him what would happen and he insisted it didn't. now he says she is ready to drop. this year i feel like we are all doing such a sucky job. really want funding for trapping. maybe we will do that better. it is the answer. looke at all the animals osceola is putting down? 95% this year as they are already full, like 500 of them just this WEEK!!!!!

oh got to take a nap but i need to do a lot of work with boxes tonight and pick up rubbermaid things for storage for upstairs, though one hurricane and it will blow away anyway. lol. why do i live here? north florida doesn't even have 10 months of summer and i really need something drier for my joints, i'm an old woman! lol.

Jeez, caught in that storm would have frightened me. Last night on CNN they said that there has recently been an increase in people be struck by lightening and that it might be due to cell phones. Hummm, I wonder. I once, last year, was out when I felt the boom of lightening and imediately wondered if my power chair was a danger...scary!

my eyes are gold again. i have hazel eyes but i thought they had changed color as when i was living in the big wood, they always appeared brownish which is what the center of them is. now i am by the big healthy ocean with no allergies and i think that is what makes the difference i looked in the mirror and almost didn't recognize me and then i realized my eyes are my eyes again. so does the iris of the eye change from allergies or illness? hmmm my normal eye is mostly golden with a black rim and then toward the center it is a reddish brown color, but most of the eye is generally goldish-green. haven't seen them look like this in a few years. so nice to have them back. jarred me there for a minute. hah.

pudding sugar free 35 and whipped cream 100, rice 100 wine100 peas fish 100 salt???? mashed potatoes instant 200 2 pieces of american cheese 160 800 so far and animal crackers maybe a thousand total.

sounds like a nice place, I love storms, but I know the tropical ones are huge!!! that guy who threw your stuff away - what an idiot -- have a great night :)

That had to have been a Very intense feeling.And to see the lightening all around.wow.
We have rain and storms here but not like your sound.
We once were visiting my husbands family on the coast and there was a storm to pass through.We bundled up in raincoats and took our thermos of hot coffee and hot chocolate and headed out to the beach and "eperienced the storm".It was something to watch.I never will forget it.
Sorry about some of the stuff you had getting thrown out by that guy.Seems he just dont care.Given up.
Maybe the cat pissing is stressed by another cat? just my guess.Thats interesting about your eyes returning to their original color.Never underestimate the power of feeling better and at home...........hugs

my friends used to go surfing everytime a hurricane was imminent. its ILLEGAL to do that here and one year we all got busted. they won't go in the water after you, the beach patrol waits (and usually laughs as they wait). i got in more trouble than my friends because i used to work in court back then and i denied being there, except it was on the news so...LOL. so long ago. one of the judges i worked for was saying you weren't there, totally incredulous and when i found out about the news i kept saying that's so unfair...now our own kids are in their teens. before a hurricane it feels quiet soooo quiet and so many people leave and hide that its a lot of fun to be outside. there are storm watchers here too. haven't done that though. once it really starts i hide, "hunker down" (usually in a walk in closet with a gallon of water, pillows down blanket flashlight, and a few good books if i'm not sleeping (or praying)) its really not that safe to stay and there are businesses that will pay you to stay if you are one of those who don't evacuate. a lot of people stay for their pets so now more evac shelters are starting to allow pets.

yes i watch it ALL the time. i am a huuuge fan. its called the little zoo that could and in my opinion ya couldnt get more dedicated staff . my dream would be to work there but its mighty hard to get a job there and i dont really wanna leave the uk climate change would be bad for the dogs

and when we have storms were told to turn the power sources off specially computer and laptops because if the power goes out they naff up lol but i didnt know that till last year

yeah i've heard to shut it all down because the lightening can travel into the source, but i didn't know it was "attracted" to the source (which reminds me of an episode on stargate atlantis where this being from outerspace was attracted to power sources. lol.) i used to think people were just over reacting that whole invincibility thing. however, i may end up being more careful now. i don't remember ever feeling all that electricity before and i didn't like it. it FELT dangerous.

oooh lol i watched this film yeh and i dont remember what its called but theses kids were playing a board game and ended up in space and he met himself but older and his older self was helping his younger self and his brother win the game so they could go home and these alien thingies were attracted to the power source too lol
