    About Me

    I am trying to get a step forward in healing this year. I took a year's leave as of September 1 from work. Unfortunately my mother has begun to deteriorate and has been hospitalized since August. I am married with two stepchildren and two adorable grandsons who I wish lived closer to us.I am working on a book about my parents' lives since they have lived through so many challenges.

    Interests

    Writing, NATURE, crafts, good quotes, documentaries. I am trying to become more vocal politically and more wise personally. But I still love British movies and Woody Allen. And Bill Moyers.

    • Close Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

      Although I can see now how the signs were there for years before I actually had my first warning with a pain in my right side that I thought was a pulled muscle. Three months later I felt a wave of exhaustion come over me at lunchtime and since then I have had CFS and Fibro with no remissions.

      Treatments

      DHEA Somewhat Helpful
      Seems to increase energy but also trouble sleeping
      Klonopin Working / Worked
      I take 1mg at bedtime along with ambien. It is the Klonopin that made a real difference in my ability to sleep. No side effects.

    • Close Dialysis

      My mother began dialysis six weeks ago. She is 80 and also has diabetes and high blood pressure in addition to being obese and almost immobile. She is a trooper but I am seeing how this lifesaving treatment is filled with ups and downs.
