Journal Entry for July 14, 2008 Mood
Monday, July 14, 2008

It is getting harder and harder to move around now.  I am getting so heavy and my joints hurt when I move.  I was only able to mow the lawn for about 2 hours on Saturday - it was 90 degrees outside.  This morning I was able to weed my flower garden and put down some mulch - something I was really wanting to get done.  It was a nice morning, fairly cool and sunny.

We are in our second week of swimming lessons.  I still wear my non-pregnancy swimsuite.  It fits terribly, just a stretched out one-piece, but I don't want to fork out the cash for a pregnancy-swimsuite.  People are always asking me when I am due because I waddle slowly and laboriously around.

I have three doctors appointments this week.  Two non-stress tests at the hospital and one check-up with my regular OB.

One of my mares had a miscarriage.  It will be costly to breed her again.  We go to the vet on Thursday for that.  We just weaned her colt.  Neither mare nor colt seems to be suffering too much from that.  One of my mares didn't get pregnant with her breeding and I've decided not to try again on her.  Her quality is a bit low.  So, hopefully, we will have three little horses next year.  The cost has been a lot more than I thought it would be.

The doctors plan to induce me early because my babies tend to be so big and because they say the risk and stress for the baby increases there towards the end.  Beats me.  I don't know, but I get tired of fighting the doctors tooth and nail.  The way I feel right now, I don't know how much I will be objecting though!  I feel so heavy and tired!

Love you all my friends,

Laura

You amaze me by even being able to mow at all. I am happy you will soon feel better, and be holding that little girl in your arms. I can't wait to see pictures of her. Enjoy the swimming lessons and hope your mare does well at the vet. Love ya, Tammy
