Well - looks like I am switching to Tysabri in about 6 weeks once my insurance approves it. I am a little nervous about it but there haven't been any problems with the drug since people are taking it solo and not with any of the other injectables with it. My only other choice is chemo so we will try this.
I got a bunch of paperwork from SS to fill out regarding my disability claim. I already filled this all out once before. I called to ask if this was sent by mistake and they said no that I need to do it again. Dang! I have an appt. with my PCD on Tues. to go over the paperwork they sent him.
My MRI showed 6 new lesions so the Rebif was not working for me like they wanted it to. My cognitive testing said I was "only in the 25th percentile in attention span and there was a consistent pattern of relative deficit on measures of verbal concept formation, learning and memory, attentionand psychomotor speed. Patient should consider using a notebook or daily planner to circumvent her deficits in memory and executive function. In addition, she may find it helpful to take periodic breaks during the day to reduce fatigue." Hmm- wonder if that will help my claim?!
My daughter has a volleyball game about an hour away tonight. I can't drive in all that traffic so I am waiting to see if I can hitch a ride with another parent to the game and my hubby will come after work and then I can ride home with him.
I love this cool weather!! Could do without the rain though!

I do hope that I encouraged you to keep copies of everything you fill out for SSDI... They sent me a second "book" as well, and I was happy to have copies of previous paperwork...
Work with your memory! My favorite test is to calculate my mileage from my last tank of gas on the way home from town. It's really hard, but I'm always within a mile of the actual miles/gallon! (Coming home from town takes about 20 minutes, so I have plenty of time to try try and try again...)
Good luck with Tysabri! It has such good reports and might be the easiest thing--what every 6 months? Good luck my dear!

It's an IV once a month so that beats the shots 3 times a week! That's a good thing! :-)
