Journal Entry for October 5, 2007 Mood
Friday, October 5, 2007

OK - went to the MS doc yesterday.  I do have 6 "active lesions".  He said I shouldn't have that many active so he wants to change my treatment.  He wants to do either chemo or Tysabri.  He said that he didn't think a course of steroids would really do anything since this isn't what he considers a full exascerbation (?).   Back in February, I had 12 active lesions.  They said I do have new lesions so I want to ask them if these 6 are all new or could some of those be old ones that are active again?

We were a bit out of it during the visit - trying to take it all in so I have tons of questions that I am going to call in with today.  I am sure they will love that! Wink

I don't know what to do!

I don't know how you felt before you got this 6 lesion news, but I thought about that the last time I got "new activity" news... I felt the same as I did that days as the week before, so I decided I would believe it was in part of my brain I don't use... Hey, maybe I'm naive and only time will tell, but I'm living my life the way I always live my life, MS, lesions, and all! Hang in there dahling! xo Cj

It's so overwhelming when you are at the doctor's office. I always think of things I should have asked when I was there. Hope you can get more explanations when you call.

I called them and the 6 active lesions are all new. Bummer. I have had some cognitive issues lately and that's what prompted the new MRI so it makes sense that I have new lesions. Just stinks to find out I really do.

But - life is good right? I am walking without aid and I can take care of my home and family. My kids are happy and healthy! My hubby is happy and healthy! My doggy is happy and healthy. I'll try and focus on that right now. :-)
