I have had pain in my right ovaries, So I when to the dr's I through I had a bladder infection. It turns out I have a 5 cm cyst on the right ovay and a "growth" in the same ovay. my dr said it could be a endrometriosos cyst or a cancer cyst. I have had the blood tests and will be going for my second ultrasound at the hospital. In may of 2004 I had a hysterectomy because of the endo. Now the dr want to remove the ovaries. I am scared to death to think this could be cancer any thoughts.

As terrifying as it is, try not to get too worried until they know for sure. I am actually very worried about the same problem, but haven't had my hyst yet. I think your doctor is doing the right thing by telling you that you together you should just pay attention to this cyst and growth until you find out exactly what it is. I have a 7cm cyst on my right ovary, and probably need to have it removed---the whole ovary, which will mean I will have no ovaries because of endometriosis. I wanted to keep my right ovary for hormones, but this is probably it for my right ovary. Oh well, I am scared too. I had such awful pain last week I ended up in the hospital. I was sick to my stomach, and felt just awful. I am here for you if you need somebody to talk to. The chances that it is cancer are rare. But it should always be checked out just incase to get you the best treatment early on. Talk to you soon.
