    About Me

Educator but have needed to be a substitute teacher for this year because of complications from seizures. Have organized a epilepsy support group for over a year. Hope to make nerve disorders become public knowledge and create more assistance with the disability. People show more of the understanding of a seizure by acting as if having one than how to help the person having the problems. When asking someone how to help with a seizure, all lack understand what to do.

Will you please send over a list of herbs and teas you use in the treatment of your Ep? I am getting tired of this Trileptal and all of the side effects. I'm seeing my Epileptologist on Friday. I hope he has other options for me as well!

Dear MBWilkins, I am so sorry that you view the doctors in this way! What other choices are out there for you? Meds alone don't do it! Dr. William Jefferey Elias,(Neurosurgeon), is the Chief within his field!! Best of Luck! BRAVE

In my case, there has not been a medication or surgery that will completely stop seizures. There has been allergic reactions to about 75% of these medications. Herbs and teas work well for me with the inclusion of medications. The period has a major influence on the migraines, cramps, and need for over the counter medications for relief.
