Ah, Wow. Mood
Tuesday, May 6, 2008 | A General Update story

Umm.  My MIL.  God bless her blatantly selfish and overtly imposing soul.

My MIL called and left a message on my cell phone, sent a text message to my cell phone and called my work line twice, leaving one message, and, oh, one message at our home number.  She made these calls all inbetween 9AM and 10:30AM and all in a panic about what we are doing about mother's day this Sunday.

Of course we know it is mother's day and of course we'd be recognizing her.  C'mon.  Five attempts at contact in 90 mins. and durning my work hours no less.  Troy happened to call right when I realized that my phone ringing incessentaly while I was with a consumer was all my MIL.  Nicely I let him know that he really should call his mom and ease her apparent anxiety over whether or not we would be ignorning her this mother's day or not.  He was confused and I don't blame him.  He made the plans, as he should, as it is his mom.

Thankfully I'm spending this Saturday with my mom and sister and we are going to see a 'STOMP like' show and dinner.  Heaven forbid if Carrie (MIL) would have to share HER day with my mom!  *giggle* and now *shaking head*

Isn't that wierd?  And isn't it more weird that I'm not totally freaking out over her behavior that I can not control?  Yea, me!

Is it time for mother-in-law jokes to come back? I think so; I think it is time for female comedians to take them up.

OMG, God bless your controlling soul for being able to put up w/ her and not freak out!!! My MIL was a nutcase too and all I am all too glad to NOT be a part of that anymore! My problem was that my husband always bought into her craziness though and he was such a momma's boy that he would believe her over me any freaking day of the week. May you be spared from that much craziness although my gut instinct tells me it's too late already!
