  I understand your frustration with friends. I lost my husband in Sept 2006 - I am just coming to terms with it now. It has been a long journey - I did not leave the house for a long time, socializing was not anything I cared to do - people just do not understand - they are not living this - our lives changed forever the day we lost our husbands. I try to take each day as it comes some are fine others are not so good. Holidays/ anniversaries etc. are awful and always will be - I wish you the best - only you know how you are feeling - don't let people pressure you - you will find out who your friends really are.   So sorry for you sorrow.I totally understand as I too depended on my husband . I'm 56 and do not drive. I walk and take the bus to the laundry mat, market, shopping, work etc, I give you alot of credit cause I thought about driving lessons but one I really can't afford it and two I wonder if its too late. I have driven but don't have perifial vision I mean I can't judge distance or side view well. Hang in there I'm happy for you. Prayers and Hugs...Uki

  i am horrible with words. the only thing i can say, is I care, even though i do not know you personally. my dad went through this twice, so i lost two moms, not two spouses. that i cant imagine. but i can send love...
