My 40th Birthday Mood

Okay, so I turned 40 over the weekend. No, no wild parties... just not my personality. Had my son which means the world to me. Dinner over at my mothers with my brother and his wife. My girlfried gave me a meaningful present of recent pictures of Jackson and I in a frame. While I still am not where I want to be, I embrace where I am. I am convinced God has me on a journey and I am learning humility, caring and to love myself right where I am and the way I am. I feel better about turning 40 in my current life situation than I thought I would. I am going to be better at the end of this tunnel than when I entered it and thats a good thing. I let the old door close very recently so the new one can open and I am stepping through. Much love to my friends here who have supported me on my very painful journey to this point. There were days, I didn't think I was going to be able to do it... I know we have all felt that way at times. I wish I could truly hug you all. You are all beautiful human beings when I thought there was no hope in humanity, I found it here. Much love, John

Happy belated birthday, my friend! You really have come so far John. You should be very proud of yourself for you healing, growing and moving forward. When one door shuts there's always one to open, we just have to find that door and have the courage to open it and walk through!
