I got a call the other day about my grandson's dad. He had a bowel obstruction and needed emergency surgery. I swear, for "today" it feels like things never quit. Meanwhile I am trying to get ONE day to myself without interruption and maybe today will be that day.
I saw my daughter again yesterday at the jail. They screwed up her commissary order AGAIN and although for some that would not seem like a big deal, I suppose when that is about all you have to look forward to, well, it IS a big deal.
I will light my prayer candle today and say a prayer for all that are in need. Then I am going to snuggle in with the rain and let this world go by. Just for today.

WHATEVER brightens your daughters day, I would strive to achieve.
I have come to the conclusion the ONLY way to get ONE day to self is to lock doors/not answer them and to turn off/not answer phones OR to go to a motel and HIDE...lol hugs, Carla

Thanks you guys:):):) I agree with the commissary thing. Being locked up is punishment enough. As long as I can help, I will. Some weeks are better than others, but one thing I do EVERY day is write to her. She loves getting mail:):)
I appreciate your support more than you know!!!!!

I'm glad to see you writing again - you must be feeling a little better. I'm hoping your health is improving and know that it's wonderful that you get to see your daughter 2x per week. I'm sure she is realizing how lucky she is to have you in her life. I'll continue to keep you both in my prayers.

When my son was in jail I made sure he had money in his account and I wrote everyday and went to see 2X a week. I think it was as hard on me as it was on him. Take care of yourself. Deb
