Close Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)

I am and always have been a single mom. I have two boys ages 3 and 5. They have the same father but he has not been a part of their lives. You probably wonder then how I have two boys with him. It started out with me visiting California 6yrs ago. That resulted in child number one and a plan to become a family. I could not return to the US until he was 17 months old and that resulted in me having to return to Canada 3 months pregnant.

Treatments

Child Time-out Somewhat Helpful

I try to make it a positive time out. Time to pick one toy or book and sit on his bed quietly until he feels like he can behave. Just a regular old time out results in screaming and me trying to make a 3 year old sit in a chair when he doesn't want to.

Education (School) Too Soon to Tell

He has been to class 2 times each for 2 hours. 1st class was so so and second he was terrible, didn't listen at all, wouldn't sit still etc. Basically teacher would prefer him to not return.

Patience Somewhat Helpful

What ever happend to mine? I used to have it when I was younger, where did it go?

Wellbutrin Not Working

No it is not working. Medication doesn't make the problem go away and I don't feel any better.

Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful

If I can get the time to have a good work out I seem to be able to better deal with things.
