Well, it's done. I put the fence up. It's not much. Just a 2 foot tall chicken wire fence. Got the materials from Lowe's this morning. Foxy was cabled to the tree while I did it. After I finished I let her off the cable and she inspected it. I don't think she knows what it is and why it's there. I'll get a better reaction from her the next time I let her out. I am soooo tired. Used some muscles I haven't used in a long time. The hardest part was pounding the fence posts in the ground. Putting the fabric up was easy. Just stretch to the clamps. I'm dreading the rest of today and tomorrow. My arms, back, and legs are going to be soooo sore. Just hoping I don't get any cramps from it. If I do, they'll be real doozies. I am sooo tired. But, it's a good tired. At least now, Foxy won't have to be on the cable and she has her yard back.
I have one wild child, it's Molly the papillon, Belle is just as good as can be. Molly has to always be on a cable as she would just keep walking, come back many hours later, and usually muddy as she finds the road and is walking home. So she is either on the cable or the leash. But I have tall snow banks so she can't go far. So I let her out, stand at the door and she is so confused which way to go. And when she is all done she stands at the door to be unhooked. Really funny. I am sure Foxy is going to love the open range again, with safety from the "bad" dogs. Get some rest, and pamper the muscles. sue
