Started my online courses, not as scary as I thought!I'm pumped!

Good Morning,
Well today is the day we are suppose to go to the Zoo. It looks like a rainy mornining, but it is suppose to clear up this afternoon. We still may get to go. I hope so. I have been looking forward to it. I would love seeing it through Christians eyes.
I started my online courses for my MCE. There are actually 6 courses. I have completed one. There is no time limit on them. My license expires June 30th, so as long as I get the paperwork in before that I will be okay. My chemo brain is a little better, so it is not too bad.
I slept pretty good last night but not so the night before. Just as I was falling off to sleep TJ started throwing up. Happened about three of four times. I would hear him yaking and I would have to get up to clean it up. As bad as kids He is fine now. Don't know what the problem was. Then I had a pain the muscle around my shoulder blade. I think it is the way I sleep on it. I don't know, but it is very uncomfortable. Then when I woke up the power was out due to storms overnight. Came back on pretty soon though. Then later on in the day, the cable went out on both the TV and the computer. Could not get online. Everything is okay now.
I went to the health food store yesterday and I got some Slippery Elm as per Inka's suggestion. We will see if it helps my intestinal discomfort.
I will let you know about the Zoo.
Talk to you later.

Thanks Julie. I hope so too. If we don't go I will go up and visit with Christian anyway. I need to get my camera plus I bought a new bathing suit for Christian. I can't wait for him to see it. It has Lightning McQueen on it from the movie Cars. He loves that movie. He watches it everynight after his bath and before he goes to bed. I just hope it fits. It is a 2T. It may be a little big. But he is growing so fast it will probably fit in a couple of months.

I hope you can go to the zoo too!!!!! That sounds like a lot of fun!!!!!!! Big hugs for you and hope that shoulder and your tummy feel better.............slippery elm is supposed to be good!! Also, my Prilosec is a must for me............I take one every day and have no indigestion or anything much................unless I have an "episode with my intestinal infection stuff" notthing can prevent that.........but the prilosec prevents my heartburn 100% of the time..................it is a miracle drug for me!!!!!!!!

I used slippery elm powder lots when I was treated the first time.. I had caraboplatin and refused to take steroids.. so suffered lots more than I needed to. You have slippery elm with food. It coats the stomach lining and protects it during digestion.. helping it to heal faster after chemo damage. I heard about it form Jane Sen, who was the chef at The Bristol Cancer Help Centre and my neighbour, at the time. Wish she was still here.. She's written books full of info on nutrition, explanations for side effects, foods to help with them, and delicious recipes for folk like us.. Some of the recipes Beth put up were from her book.. the Cabbage with ginger was one. .. She was a fabulous neighbour and we used to cook and eat together often.. I really missed her when she moved away. xxx

I think I may have found out what the culprit is as far as my gastric problems. My son pointed it out to me since he has the same problem. I drink Diet Dr. Pepper and Crystal Light. Both have Aspartame whick is know to give some people gastro problems. I am diabetic so I don't drink anything with sugar. I am trying to stay off this drinks for the next couple of days to see if that helps. Just drink water. My son says staying off diet drinks has helpled him. So we will see.
