Myself and Partner have daughter with uncontrolled, complex epilepsy. Struggling to get her statemented and the correct help she needs. Endless trips to Gt.Ormond st, seem to get nowhere. Also has Hypermobility in all joints.

Close Epilepsy & Seizures
WE HAVE A 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH UNCONTROLLED, COMPLEX EPILEPSY, DIAGNOSED IN MARCH 2006. HAS ALSO GOT HYPERMOBILITY IN ALL JOINTS AND FROM THE AGE OF 2 WAS TOLD THIS WAS ALL SHE HAD THOGH WAS HAVING UNEXPLAINED 'DROPS' SINCE 2 YRS OLD.
Treatments
- Clobazam Somewhat Helpful
- ONLY HAS EVENING DOSE NOW AS DAYTIME DOSE MADE HER VERY DOCILE AND TIRED.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- EPILIM. WORKING TO SOME DEGREE ALONG WITH THE OTHERS BUT STILL NOT SEIZURE FREE ON ANY COMBINATION.
- Keppra Not Working
- SEEMED TO HAVE NO EFFECT AND DISLIKED THE TASTE.
- Tegretol Somewhat Helpful
- BEEN ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR. HAVE ALWAYS STRUGGLED WITH ATTEMPTS TO TAKE HER OFF IT AS SEIZURES INCREASE
- Topamax Not Working
- WAS GAVE IN POWDER FORM, SPRINKLED ON YOGHURTS ETC BUT WAS NO GOOD WHATSOEVER.
