Acne sucks!! Especially the cystic acne. I have been to the dermatologist too, and from what he said, "There is no cure; we can only try and control the breakouts." How dreadful! I am afraid to try accutane, but I may have no choice. My dermatologist will not even give it to me, but I know one that will. I wish you luck with your surgery, and I will certainly pray for you LLBean. redwriter53

- Accutane Working / Worked
- 2 treatments a few years apart. Both successful. Main side effects for me were the dry skin and lips.
- Benzoyl Peroxide Somewhat Helpful
- Tried Brevoxyl years ago, was not impressed enough to remember the results.
- Proactiv Considering
- Tried this years ago, but topicals rarely have been a match for my genetics. Reconsidering trying it again after recent success with topical Clinique Acne Solutions.
- Retin-A Not Working
- Tried it years ago, remember stopping it soon after starting but can't remember why.
