Diagnosed with FM about 8 years ago after coming off prozac too soon. - I was completely crippled with 6 weeks. Going back on prozac helped ease the pain but it is still there most days. I had a massive tumour (cervical) removed at the beginning of this year and the symptoms of Fibro went away for a blissful 6 months! However, they have just started to reoccur again now so I assume I was just in remission - I'm grateful the remission was during my recovery from the hysterectomy.
I suffered depression for many years through my teens and into my 30s with two major break downs. I seem to be clear of it now - it must be 8 years since I had a bout of it so I'd like to join this to help anyone who may need help with it. I've run depression groups for some years and encourage people to laugh through stories and drawings.
Had serious Arythmia attacks at about 28. Was one of the first 100 in this country to get an ablation to correct the abnormal rhythm. IT worked a treat for a year but then the Arythmia came back though not as seriously. When they went in again to find it they couldn't. I just put up with it now as it doesn't happen often and seems not to be too serious. It does seem though that the fitter I get the more problems with it I have - weird?
Had a large cervical tumour removed in Feb of this year (2007). The recovery took a lot longer than I expected.
