I’m With You
Thanks for the message you sent a while back . . . I don't check into this thing very often, but I was feeling kind of depressed today. The guy I went on a date with in that journal entry has been my boyfriend for almost a year now, and he's the best thing in my life. It is good to know that there's good people in the world. Against all the pain and sadness in life, these people really shine as something so beautiful. I'm thankful everyday. Hope you're doing well.

Close Eczema
I've had eczema since I was two. It's taken a while, but I'm finally accepting that it's part of who I am. I've dealt with being extremely self-conscience throughout my life which is really hard to deal with on a daily basis. I feel the worst part of eczema is the daily pain that comes along with it... You can always accept who you are, but that doesn't make the pain go away.
Treatments
- Elidel Working / Worked
- Elidel has worked for me... but on and off. Sometimes when I put it on it clears the eczema up right away, but other times it doesn't do anything.
- Eucerin Considering
- Hydrocortisone Working / Worked
- My face get really bad reactions and my doctor prescribed this for use during the day to stop the itching and redness.
- Melaleuca Tea tree oil Not Working
- Protopic Working / Worked
- Again, this works on and off for me. I usually go back and forth between creams... This one, however, has helped me the most with areas on my face.
- Triamcinolone Topical Working / Worked
- Works wonders on areas other than my face. It usually takes a few appliations, but it works.
Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI've had it since I can remember, but I feel like I'm growning out of it more (THANK GOD). I only need an emergency inhaler and Singulair to control it now.

Open Anxiety
I have anxiety issues that I found out last year were due to growing up with eczema. All my life people have asked questions like "What's on your neck?" or even once, "Is that contagious!?". Because of that I have a really hard time with people in public as well as in social settings looking at me. Sometimes it's not that apparent, but the fear that someone is judging me is still there. My two worst fears are lines (like in stores) and sitting in a place other than the back of a room.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- I stopped going because it didn't make me feel any better.
