I THINK THAT DOING A SIMPLE YOGA ROUTINE WOULD HELP. I'M A BELIEVER IN STARTING OUT SLOW AND EASY, JUST DO IT A FEW MIN. EACH DAY AND BUILD UP. I THINK ANY XRCISE IS GOOD.
I HAVE HARDWARE IN AN ANKLE AND SOME OF THE POSES R HARD BUT I JUST DO THEM WITHOUT PAIN. JUST DOING SOMETHING IS GOOD. I'M WORKING ON BALANCE NOW.

I have to admit that I am just now getting back into the practice of yoga after my lupus flare (it has lasted several months). My energy is about 1/4 what it should really be. My main complaint right now is lack of energy (my pain is about gone).
So, what poses would be good for this, or would you say that just any practice within yoga would be benefitial? (I don't think my hands and forearms are quite ready for downward facing dog yet)
thanks yogis.

work with the flow of the breath and move expanding as you inhale and contracting as you exhale is good. You can adapt the sun salutes to not do as much down dog, but just give it a try and bit by bit you will build it up. Anything that makes you feel better is good. You may consider walking too, to build up stamina. Hope you feel better soon. -

Breath of fire is good for energy. Also handstanding (if you've done it against a wall) is an excellent energy boost. I think a regular routine would be a great way to feel more energetic. I also like the Kundalini yoga videos by Ana Brett and Ravi Singh. They are not very difficult and they always leave me feeling energetic. Sometimes even with yoga it can bring out the side of you that needs healing and rest. Just follow your body's lead when starting practice again. If you can or do, go to a studio and explain to the instructor what has been happening for you. A good instructor should be able to tell you what you should and shouldn't do.
Namaste
