There's a lot you're going to want to avoid due to menstrual cramps. Anything that compresses the abdominal wall and does allow for room with just squeeze things further. You could do supine poses that are just belly breathing and entirely relaxed like supported cobblers pose ( lying back on a blanket or a pillow with soles of your feet together and just letting your legs relax and hips relax, breathing into the belly). You could try legs-up-the-wall (put a blanket under your hips and just rest your legs, extended, against a wall. All other parts of the body in neutral and just breathing gently and normally). You could simply lie in corpse pose, put some lavender oil on your forehead or upper lip or if you have an eye pillow then put a bit a lavender on that, place it over your eyes and just rest with maybe a light blanket covering your body, imagining gentle waves coming over your body warmed by the sun. Many yoginis take 'Lady's Holiday' on their periods as if you can't do the locks (root lock, abs, throat) then you are not doing a practice. Relaxed deep belly breathing would be great with soothing music, soothing scents and soothing textures would be my best advice. Also a mantra might be nice "Om namah shivaya" or something that relaxes you like " I wish you peace, joy, health, love" etc. Do what feels right. Namaste -
