ham and chickpea salad

1(15oz.)can chickpeas,rinsed and drained
1/4 pound sliced lean ham,cut into strips
1 red bell pepper,seeded and chopped
1 yellow bell pepper,seeded and chopped
1 small red onion,chopped
2 tbs.apple-cider vinegar
2 tsp.olive oil
1/4 tsp.dried thyme
1/4 tsp.salt
1/4 tsp.freshly ground pepper


combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.serve at once or cover and refrigerate up to overnight.
