New Here

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 47 year old wife and mom. I work from home in the field of childcare. I've been working on losing weight for a very long time. I actually did get to my goal once a number of years ago, and then let stress and life get the better of me and gained most of it back. A couple of months ago I joined WW, but didn't like the meetings - there was 1 group of 5 people that constantly took over the meetings, and would interrupt others, etc. I did lose 4 pounds the first week, and then lost my motivation, and just haven't been able to get back on track. Today though I'm starting with a fresh clean slate - keeping track of my points, drinking water, etc.
My goal is to lose 30-40 pounds total, but right now just want to get out of the 180's.

    Welcome Bibbity!! Starting out is the hardest part. Just remember it's healthy to lose an average of 2 lbs a week. And it's not easy!! That's why it's good to help each other!! So good luck :)

    Well after just shy of 1 week I'm down 4 pounds. I'm quite happy with that considering we had a holiday in there. I, like many others, always lose more at the beginning.
    We also got a Gazelle exercise machine yesterday, so on days that I don't go to Curves I can use that at home.
