Day 1!

well everyone, this is it. time to get serious. i'm posting this discussion specifically for you guys to post your goals, and mini goals. also if you have any (non food) rewards you want to give yourself when you reach these goals, it would be awesome for you to share =] you can also post your starting weight, measurements, size, or anything to document how you started off. i don't recommend checking any of these again for another two weeks, though. these all (weight especially) can fluctuate as you're changing eating/exercise habits, and give you an inaccurate reading, and thus the wrong idea of how you're doing.

    might as well start this off =] my goal is to lose 20 pounds. i would be estatic if i could lose 35 though. that's my ultimate, seemingly unattainable goal. every time i lose 10 pounds (which apparently equates to a pant size) i'm going to purchase a new pair of jeans. William Rast first, Rock and Republic Next, then if i get down to a 27 like i'm hoping, Taverniti's. i'm doing this because i want to feel more attractive to myself and others. i'm going to school at oregon state university in the fall, and i want to look good for all the potential life partners i'll be meeting, for rushing houses (bigger girls aren't so favorable ]=), so i can feel confident in a bikini, and so i can reach my full physical potential. My current status is 160 pounds, pant size 8/10. i'll post measurements when i have time =]

    ill go. except im really hesitant to share. I hate telling people how much I way, so this is my first step in getting healthier. Okay, well I'm like 130ish, but I'm only 5'4'', and not that toned, so I think if i eat healthier, and exercise, I will be more comfortable in a bathing suit, and stuff. My reward is to also but a new pair of jeans.. that would be sweet. Either Rock and Republic, or Citizens. A new pair of shoes would be nice, but I dont think that I will be loosing any shoe sizes.. that wouldnt make sense. hahah. Anyways, I'm a size six, and even just going down one size would be nice. I'm more looking for being toned and just feeling healthier.. .and better about myself. yeye. day one.

    Ok... Well I'm 5'5" and 153 pounds. My goal is to lose 13 lbs by June because I am going to 2 weddings that month (including my sister's) and I would love to look great/be confident in the dresses I'm wearing. Plus there will be a beach-theme bachelorette party for my sis and thus will have to wear a bathing suit. I haven't worn a bikini since I was like, 9 years old and it would make me the happiest person alive to be able to wear one this summer. I've been promising myself to wear one for the last 5 years and haven't been able to do it. I'm at my heaviest now and what I really want is to lose the fat, gain muscle, get athletic, and have a healthy mind and body - sans food addiction. It's so hard because I'm always busy or sick, but I know I can do it one day. I'll try to take pictures tonight to put up here.

    Hi everyone! My goal is to lose 25lbs, although I would be thrilled if I could lose 35 ... but I'm not sure that that's a reasonable expectation, so I'm sticking to 25lbs. Right now I weight 165lbs, I'm 5'6" and I wear a size 12. I'm just so sick of my chub! I really want to get rid of my stomach, especially. My reward - an elaborate new tattoo on my lower back. That won't be for a while though - the wait is 6-9mo. So, in the meantime my reward will be new jeans (what is it about jeans?) when I get to a size 10, and a pedicure for each 5lbs lost. I need some more or less immediate gratification! :) I'm spending the summer in California and I want to feel attractive next to all the in shape California girls!

    hola.. i want to lose 25 pounds. i'm 5'5" and 151 pounds and a size 9. i already have two, actually three, pairs of jeans that i don't fit into that would be awesome if i could.. i'm setting mini-goals for myself at a loss of two pounds a week.. prom (may 17) - 145 pounds. graduation (june 6) - 139 pounds. by the time i leave for college (august 22ish) - goal weight, 127.

    my turn! lol. I'm currentaly 5'7 and about 140pounds. my goal is to lose 15pounds. but i would be more excited if i lose 20 pounds. But i'll be happy with the results as long as i do it the healthy way. I want to become more toned. My mini goals are to lose 8 may 24 (picture for dance recital) and another 5 or more by june 14 (my dance recital) My pant size is a 7-9 (depending on the brand) i would love to be a 5-7). Over all i really want to make good habits and keep them so i can live a long and healthy life. I think i would reward myself with a new hair do (i havent cut my hair since march 2007! except for a trim) another reward i'm thinking of is clothing or shoes! i love shoes! LOL

    Hi everyone.My goal is not so much to lose weight but to lose 2 dress sizes.I would also like to be more toned.I currently weigh 168 lbs(at 5ft 7inches) and would probs like to be around 147 lbs.My main goal is to be able to control my eating and once achieved my goal be able to stay a set weight.Good Luck everyone xx

    hi everyone! I'm new here but I really want to lose a little weight healthily since i have been anorexic and bulimic, im a little afraid to lose weight in case i slip back into my ed, but then, I really would like to lose like 10-16 pounds. I am 5'2" and I weight 116 pounds, i know, i hate it. so, ya, I hope this helps me and all of you as well!!!

    hey all... I weigh around 125lbs and would love to lose 15 pounds (20 would be ideal but I'd settle for 15). This weight is stubborn and I've tried to lose it so many times and failed I just really hope it works this time! I'm going to commit to a low cal eating plan starting tomorrow morning. I also plan to do HIIT twice a week and walk 30-60mins the other 5 days. I've also got some dumbells which I lift every couple of days. I don't know when to set a target date for... my birthday is nearly 12 weeks away and I'd love to be as close as possible to 110lbs by that time. I have a real problem with emotional and boredom eating. I eat for something to do or something to cheer me up - I've really got to kick that habit! Turning to exercise would be alot healthier!
