lose the weight. Can you tell me more about it?

hi deb its bit difficult to outline whole diet as you need the book for the list of foods to eat or not eat and background info that goes with it. but in short you dont use any fats or oils apart from coconut oil, virgin olive oil and butter. you must drink 8 glasses water per day and cook with 1-2 tbs of coc oil per day (the oil contains lauric acid that increases metabolic rate)th oil is the key ingredient.

there are 3 stages to the diet first a one day cleanse where you have your 8 gls of water and then have v8 juice the rest of the day about 3 galsses and then a bowl of veg broth for tea. the idea is that with your system being overloaded by eating the wrong food you must clean it out first before you start the diet or it would be difficult to loose the weight.
the next phase is a 21 day diet(meant to carry on cleanising your system) where you are given a list of foods to eat and those not to eat (whilest still using coc oil every day ) in brief its a bit strict but works even after the first week - you can only eat veg (not corn or potatoes), cheese (only ricotta, feta, mozarella) eggs, meat, fish , legumes, nuts - must cut out coffee tea and alcohol as much as possible drink herb teas, green tea or veg juice or coc smoothies - def not eat any sugar at all or white rice , flour or refined foods, no chips etc. you can do this 21 day diet bit a week or so if you want or not at all, yu then spend a week on a colon cleanse diet where you eat food either fromthe 21 day section or the later section but include more raw food for the week, and more juices and take probiotic supplements and psyllium husks (cleanses the gut). the last phase is a list of foods you can and cant eat this time fruit, youghurt , brown rice and milk are included and the basic no nos are white refined products, other oils like sunflwoer or veg oil ,margarine, wihite rice, sugar table salt (only use sea salt) potatoes. sounds a bit complicated but its not really once its written down. the coc oil apart from increasing your metabolic rate also reduced yor appetite a bit. its 2 weeks and ive lost 8lbs, i was a coffee adict and drank about 10 cups per day but im surprised at how easily i managed to stop drinking so much of it. fell off the wagon this weekend as i went for a good old english pint and had some chips!!!! but will go straight back to having a day of juice to combat it ! gotta be able to go out and have a dirnk or a meal sometimes! im realy surprised by how this works because ive found it so hard to lose weight before as my hormones are all over the place. i was cycling every day and exercising and nothig was shifting. think its because you cleanse yyour sysstem first, the bad foods like sugar and coffeee and oils inhibit your MB rate. anyway some readers of the book reported that even just switching to cooking with coc oil and not really bothering with the diet in every respect made them lose weight even though it was much more slowly.
    hope this helps . hugs

Ummm... By the sounds of it... you would loose weight regardless of wether you had the coconut oil or not... I looked at the diet. It is very low calorie and high fiber. Just be careful, and you should be OK.
