VA Get together

Hi All,
Sorry took me so long to get on the new site...
I have added the new names to the list and have contacted everyone interested so far. let me know if you would like to be on the list.
Do you want me to post the names or just email a massive email to ya.
please let me know. your thoughts on this OK.

ok I sent out emails to all, will check back earlier in the week.

so far i have received that VA is a good place or everyone, and they like the Beach idea however after May the prices go sky high. If we wait until after the summer we can get better deals and have plenty of time to plan and save. any thoughts on this?

Another question is, are our spouses, family, friends included ?

We will need a count to start with for the weekend and or the week.

This is a start......

Question, and it may seem silly but how big is Virginia? Will everyone who lives in Virginia be able to drive to wherever we are??? Are we planning a condo/house rental for this one too or is it to each their own?

The farthest reaches of Virginia are about a five hour drive from the center. I don't think we have anybody that far out - at least none that I know of. I'm in Richmond, and we have people in Northern VA, 1 1/2 hours from Richmond, and Cindy is near the beach, two hours the other way.

I don't think it's unreasonable for anybody who wants to make the trip.

At this point we're thinking of something condo-like where everybody could be together. Only time will tell if we can find something that everybody agrees on, and that we can afford.

Great, I was just worried that everyone for this get together would only be from Virginia and not wanting to rent something to stay at.

My mom, who has fibro would like to come with me, is this okay?

No problem about your mom - I know some people have said their spouse would want to come also. The more the merrier I think. The only thing we've not discussed is small children, but my idea of a relaxing time probably wouldn't include young children - older kids and teens might be OK though. That's just MY thought - the subject hasn't even come up.

Hi Barbi!!

Where are you in beautiful West Virginia? We're open to anyone who wants to come to wherever we end up for this thing. We're still trying to figure out the when and the where - probably fall by the time we get it together. Remember, all of us have fibro and we're good some days and others not so much :)

I am very close to Charleston, I know I will have to travel farther, but that is good... yes trying to get all the good and bad days to gether is gonna be a task, but since my hubby will be driving, I can always rest when I get there, and if it a bad day then we will deal with it, but at least we will all get to meet.... I think it is a great idea.
