I have 1 cat that is almost 18 years old. She is my constant companion through thick and thin. She senses when I'm not feeling good or in lots of pain. She will come to me and want me to pet her. This does take my mind off of myself and is a great stress reliever also. Animals are so smart and sensitive to our needs. She has arthritis pretty bad and hobbles around here in our room but she does pretty well for her age. I dread the day when I lose her. I have never had a pet to live this long in my entire life. She watches me while I sleep also. Whichever way I turn, she will move so that she can see my face. lol I keep her food bowl on the footstool in front of my old comfortable chair in the corner. She only has to jump down to the floor to use the littler box or to drink water. She goes from the footstool to another smaller stool beside my bed so that she can get on the bed beside of me when I'm on the computer. And if I don't pay enough attention to her when she is laying on the bed beside of my computer, she will start to make little sounds to get my attention. Needless to say she is quite spoiled and she has me spoiled too. -

We have two dogs - one is "his" and one is "mine" although we both love both dogs. My dog curls up with me at night, and she always seems to know when I'm not feeling good, as she snuggles even closer and stays right with me all the time. She usually stays at the bottom of the bed until I turn out the light at night, and then she comes in the dark and sticks her cold little nose under my hand as if to say "I'm here." Then she curls up as close to me as she can get and stays there until morning. She is a great comfort to me. -

I have three pets. We have two toy poodles and one cat. The cat is elusive and only cuddles when she *wants* too, LOL. But I get great comfort from my male poodle. His name is Toby. Bobby bought him for me in 1996 for Christmas as a therapy dog. Its funny, Toby has never had any formal training, but seems to know when I don't feel well or am down emotionally and won't leave my side. He will kiss away my tears and he really helped me get over the loss of my career which happened just a year after we got him. He also helped me when I lost three babies trying to have Ben. I just don't know what I would do about my little fuzz ball that comforts me when I need it! He is also a great heating pad when I don't feel good and am too lazy or in too much pain to get up and get the microwave hotpack. Hugs, Fern -

OMG Fern, my little dog is the same way! She always seems to know when I'm feeling bad, and she'll curl up so close she's almost in the same skin wth me :) She's an independent little cuss but when I'm feeling bad she sticks to me like velcro LOL
How do we get along without a fur babies! -

I have a chihuahua tinkerbell he is the love of my life. When mommy is sick and doesnt feel motivated he jumps on me and says "Come on mom get out of bed- I wanta play and pee pee" hee hee He keeps me going - and that is a good thing. He is also a good companion when I cant get out and feel isolated. -

I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit who has just in the past week since we lost our dear Thumper (mini rex rabbit), has become even more spoiled and her big cage is right beside my chair where I can talk to her and play with her. Oh yeah, she is solid black and her name is Shadow. I have a Tort Cat, 10 years old named Cricket who sleeps with me most nights. I have a 12 year old mini pomeranian, red named Mikey who is our "little senior citizen" with health problems. He sleeps with my hubby who also has health issues and turns 80 years old next week. Then the avatar pic of my baby Jody. He is a "Tibbie" or tibetan spaniel and a breed all of his own. I think he is an angel, my hubby calls him a scallywag lol. He always knows when it is a bad day for me and sticks to me like super glue. I love all of them dearly and they always make me smile even if I am crying or hurting. CatzRit
