Cost of Clomid tip!
Posted on 07/07/08, 09:41 pm
I don't know about anyone else, but I have been taking clomid for close to a year, now up to 150 mg's, it was costing me close to $140 a month from the CVS (and supposedly that was the generic price, since my insurance wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole)....
I always worried where that money was going to come from month after month for no results.....
the tip is, walmart offers 15 pills for 27 bucks, and if any of you are near a kroger, or kroger affiliated store, they will fill the same for 24.
i'm probably like, the last to figure this out....but for over a hundred bucks less a month, i thought it was worth sharing!

WOW...where do you live? I also buy clomid at CVS, but I only pay $40 for 15 pills. I do pay more than at wal mart....but I hate the way I get treated there, so I don't mind the extra cost. -

I live in Richmond, VA....generic programs are really new here, at least from what I gather. I was shocked too at that price, considering the insurance I had with my job a year ago covered it for 10 bucks. When I stopped working, and got on my husband's insurance, everything changed for the worst on cost. -

I would take the receipt to CVS and be like, look you are ripping people off. I want my money back. I would even go as far as talking to a manager or reporting them to the local BBB. It sounds like a scam in the works. I always get my medicine at Walmart. My last prescription for Clomid cost me $18. Good luck! -

Target works the same way. I get my Clomid there for $9 (I'm only at 50 mg). -
