My mom is the most common sense person I know.
My dad and hubby have hearts of gold.
My kids keep me young or ...is it drive me nuts LOL..love them so much ( :

Historical heros
Ben Fraklin- Inventiveness, passion, intelligence, fought for what he believed in at the cost of possibly losing it all.

John Walsh(America's Most Wanted) he lost his son and in trying to find him lost his business that was at the verge of being a millionaire. Lost his wife but helped thousands to put violent criminals behind bars and brought home MANY kids..even though he could never to this for his own son. WOW I bow to his strength.

I actually have more than one, of course my mom is first because she has more strength and fortitude than anyone I've ever met. She's the kind of person that could have a mouthful of shit and not say it. She's bitten her tongue many times when I could not. She's my rock.

My sister is second because she has done such a wonderful job raising my two nephews. After an abusive first marriage, she had the guts and strength to get out on her own with my first nephew. She found the one she should have married the first time, and 7 years ago had my youngest nephew. The oldest is almost 16, and of course I'm partial, but you will never meet a finer young man. He is so respectful, works harder than any grown man I know, and isn't ashamed to tell his family he loves them. To me, that speaks volumes about how he was raised.

I really don't know who in particular would come in third, I guess it would be most of the fine folks I have met here on DS. Particularly JaniM and LeeAnn. To go through what we all go through on a daily basis and still be able to offer encouragement to others, that's a REAL hero.

my mother and goose...i watched them both battle a form of cancer....my mom lost to the cancer at home...goose beat the battle only to lose to a fall at home...sigh...but they are both my hero's for the fight they put up and the strength they showed throughout the battle...

next on my list would have to be my moms parents...they had to bury their child..my mom...sigh..they both died withen that year...it was so hard on them..they had 7 other children but it seemed like they lost the will to live....but while my mom was sick the strenght they showed was amazing...

and goose's family as well...the dedication from both his sister and father was relentless...they were always present when i went to visit..one or the other were always there..smile...the dedication his family showed was amazing...some familys just back off..so many people on that floor were always alone..it was sad...

okay im done with the mushy stuff...grin...

    hugs
