Turtle in the news

Did anyone else see the story about the turtle that the beach dewellers held a memorial for? Apparently the female turtle was a regular and really friendly with the locals, she became their pet. Over the weekend they found the turtle dead on the beach, it had been killed by someone. So the friends of the turtle had a memorial on the beach where the turtle died. During the little service, another turtle (male) came up on the shore to the memorial. He made his way to the picture they had sitting in the sand of their friend, the turtle stopped and stared at the picture. They said they continued the little service and when it was done the male turned and went back to the sea. I thought it was a sweet story. But I would like to know how the male turtle knew what time the service was? Still, a sweet story

  No I didn't see that but what an awesome story! Animals are really amazing! We don't give them enough credit. I do hope they find the person that killed the turtle! What a shame!
