Rice Pudding

I was 5 and my baby sister was 3. Mom made the best rice pudding. Sometimes she make choclate out of cocoa, water and sugar till it was stringie. Then she pour that over our rice pudding. It was a great treat once in awhile and we all loved it much. Sometimes she would put raisins in them if she didn't have the chocolate to make it with.

Well Mom made the rice pudding with the rasins in it. My other sibblings and Mom were outside. My baby sister and I sat in our places in the back of the table. I said to her" OH MY GOSH LOOK THERE ARE BUGS IN YOUR RICE PUDDING". She stands up on her chair and looks at her pudding. She didn't want her pudding with the bugs in it.

Supper came and I ate, then I ate my pudding first, put my bowl next to her plate and then I enjoyed my pudding too. Mom never thought anything of it, thought my baby sister ate her pudding. This actually went on for a long time, till one time Mom seen and watched me eat both puddings, and then punishment time came. No whoopings only next time she made the pudding she made one without the rasins in it for my baby sister and I had to watch everyone else enjoy there pudding and I didn't get any at all.

That was the worse punishment I think I could ever get. After that I never told my baby sister something was not good so I could eat it too.

This group is formed with the idea that we collectively have a place to tell our stories. Gosh, don't each of us have so many stories to tell!!! Some happy, some sad, some ironic, some defying classification. Bring back the memories of youth, memories of growing up, memories of life changing events. The only thing I ask is to please keep it mutually respectful, and non-argumentative.
